IGS Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College Student Chapter in association with IGS Guntur Chapter is opened at Department of Civil Engineering, VR Siddhartha Engineering , Vijayawada on 17th Nov. 2018 in the presence of IGS  Guntur Chapter Hon. Secretary (Dr.M. Rama Rao), •    Principal Prof. A. Ratna Prasad garu, Prof. Chava Srinivas, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty Advisors-Prof. VVN Prabhakara Rao and Dr. GV Rama Subba Rao , Students & Other Participants.

IGS -Guntur VRSEC Student Chapter is formed in the similar lines to motivate and create awareness among the students about the importance of Geotechnical Engineering  in different types of construction and construction practices and showcasing state of art research.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CHAPTER
Organizing seminar lectures by Eminent personalities from industry and academia  on the subject of engineering interest.
•  Organizing visits to engineering projects, construction sites, factories, workshops, laboratories etc.
•  Promotion of leadership skills  among students.
• Any other activity conducive to the technical and intellectual advancement of the students.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHAPTER OFFICERS 
The following are the responsibilities of Chapter officers:
Members: Suggest new events, render all necessary help for organising the event successfully.
Treasure: Withdraws the amount, spends it appropriately and settles the account.
Secretary: Organise all activities, ensure documentation, reports to the chair.
President and Vice-President: This office ensures that the best practices are followed
