TheIGS-VJIT chapterhasestablished on probation in a Feb 2021 and has organized and participatedinseveralworkshopsandstudentevents since 2021. 
The primary aim of establishing the student chapter is to encourage students to expose to the advanced knowledge in the Geotechnical field which can be implemented in the project and overall application based students projects can be carried out. It would also help us to interact with the leading researchers in the field both at national and international level.  
In this connection, we  haverequested local body to permit us to establish the student chapter. The local body permitted VJIT to carry out several knowledge sharing events IN association with IGS Hyderabad local chapter since Feb 2021.  
The chapter successfully organized 4 week skill development internship program which is a unique feature of VJIT-IGS chapter with 40 no.  Participations at national levels. Apart from this major event 3, 1 day eventschapter has organized with appreciable participation.
Continuing to above record the chapter is planning to organize Project expo, National Conference, Workshop, Summer school training and several online webinars and technical talk by industry experts in the geotechnical area.
