The aim of IGS Student Chapter at SSIPMT Raipur is to motivate the students, to give them exposure to different careers and opportunities in the areas of geotechnical engineeing, and also to develop leadership skills among the students. In this regard, Dr. Tarun Kumar Rajak took an initiative to open the IGS Student Chapter at SSIPMT under IGS Raipur Chapter. Mr. Nishant Tripathi, Chairman (B.G.), SSIPMT Raipur and Prof. (Dr.) Alok Kumar Jain, Principal, SSIPMT Raipur congratulated Department of Civil Engineering and office bearers of IGS Student chapter i.e., President, Vice-President, Secretary,and Treasurerfor opening of student chapter. He also encouraged the members of IGS Student chapter to carry out the research in the field of geotechnical engineering and actively explore the recent trend and innovation in the field of civil engineering.
