The IGS-BRITN chapter has organized and participated in several workshops and student events since June 2020. IGS-BVRITN student chapter is actively working under IGS Hyderabad local chapter.

We aim to further enhance our knowledge in Geotechnical field. We aim to set up an open forum where civil engineers would connect and interact with professionals in sharing individual experience, innovation and exposure at a common platform to promote geotechnical engineering. An esteemed society of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) would be a great platform for the students to learn and understand the various aspects of Geotechnical Engineering. It would also help us to interact with the leading researchers in the field both at national and international level.  In this connection, we have established the IGS - BVRITN Student Chapter on 17/06/2020. The same was inaugurated by Prof. G L Sivakumar Babu, IGS President and Professor of Geotechnical engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. A total of 4 number of different events were successfully organized and volunteered during the last one year which includes 9 expert lectures. The details of events organized are herewith enclosed. Therefore, we request you to sanction an official chapter of IGS to IGS-BVRITN Student Chapter and support us to grow further to achieve the set objectives and goals.
