Vinoth Srinviasan completed his PhD in Mining Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, under Anna University, Chennai, focusing on Geotechnical and Geophysical Aspects of Mine Slope Monitoring in Coal Mines. His core research expertise is in microseismic monitoring of rock deformation under challenging geotechnical conditions, such as underground excavations and deep petroleum reservoirs, with a focus on carbon storage. His areas of research are Experimental Rock Mechanics, Sustainable Geoenergy, materials testing, Geo-AI for Engineering Geology, and Acoustic Emission investigation of the fracture mechanics of geo- and engineered materials.
