The IGS SURAT chapter is one of the oldest chapters in India. The members are from engineering institute and many professional organizations. The members of the chapters have organized and participated in several national and international events. The IGS Surat chapter has organized IGC 1982 and 1991 and several Seminars and Training programmes are actively organized.
