Goa Engineering College (GEC) in collaboration with Indian Geotechnical society (IGS), Goa chapter organized Symposium on Women in Geotechnics on 15/10/2018. The outstanding and illustrious women in the field of Geotechnical Engineering were honoured in this special symposium on “Women in Geotechnics” which was perhaps first of its kind in the country, where women who have phenomenal achievements in this field. Prof. Gali Madhavi Latha, Prof. IISC Bengaluru, Dr. R. Chitra, Joint Director, Central Soils and Materials Research Station, New Delhi, Dr. Neelima Satyam, Prof. IIT Indore and Ms. Minimol Korulla, Vice President, Maccaferri Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd. were felicitated at the hands of Prof. Babu and Prof Choudhury.
